Heavy snow expected in the North

The UK Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for the North.

Up to ten centimetres of snow is expected to fall within the next 24 hours, with reports of up to 15 centimetres of snow on higher ground.

Heavy snowfall is also forecast for parts of Northern Britain and Scotland, where it has warned some travel disruption may be occur.
