Gardaí in Co. Louth are appealing to the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of four missing children.

They range in age from four to 12 and were last seen at their home in Ardee on Thursday.

Chloe, Jon, Jessica and Megan Eaton were last seen at their home at Tullykeel in Ardee on Thursday.

It is believed they are in the company of a man and a woman.

The man, aged 30, is said to be known to the children.

Two other young children may also be with the group, but they are not the subject of a missing persons appeal.

Gardaí at Ardee station began searching for the four children yesterday after they were reported missing.

The children could be travelling in an English registered silver coloured Opel Zafira.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Gardaí at Ardee on 041 687 11 30.
