A Cork woman working in Tokyo has described how she thought her life was about to end as an 8.8 magnitude earthquake hit Japan overnight.

A Cork woman working in Tokyo has described how she thought her life was about to end as an 8.8 magnitude earthquake hit Japan overnight.

Speaking to the Evening Echo newspaper this morning, Erica Grainger, right, from Grange, said the earthquake hit at 2.48pm local time.
