A Dublin woman who slashed another woman’s face and breast with a broken bottle in an unprovoked attack has today been jailed for two years.

A Dublin woman who slashed another woman’s face and breast with a broken bottle in an unprovoked attack has today been jailed for two years.

Ciara Carney of Earlsfort Gardens, Lucan pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assaulting Deena James who was left permanently scarred as a result of the incident in July, 2009 on Newcastle Road.

The 19-year-old cried at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court as the judge told her that her behaviour had been disgraceful.
