Enda Kenny has been elected the 12th Taoiseach of Ireland with 117 votes for and 27 against.

Enda Kenny has been elected the 12th Taoiseach of Ireland with 117 votes for and 27 against.

Mr Kenny received a rapturous round of applause from members of the packed Dáil and scores of invited guests.
