A 30-year-old man has been remanded on bail after he was charged in connection with a petrol bomb attack on a garda speed camera van, in Co Cork over 18 months ago.

A 30-year-old man has been remanded on bail after he was charged in connection with a petrol bomb attack on a garda speed camera van, in Co Cork over 18 months ago.

Gareth Hill, with an address at The View, Gleann Na Ri, Tower, was charged with two offences when he appeared at Cork District court this morning.

He was charged with endangerment of Garda Paul Whooley, and with criminal damage by arson on a Garda Gatso van at Booleypatrick, Blarney on August 27, 2009.

Gardaí did not object to bail and Judge Con O'Leary remanded him on bail, to appear again in four weeks' time.
