Two injured in Smithfield shooting incident, suspect device also found

Two men were injured in a shooting incident at Smithfield in Dublin today, and a suspect device was also found. The Smithfield horse fair is taking place in the area today.

Dublin gardaí at the Bridewell are investigating the incident, which took place at about 11.30am.

The men's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. They have been taken hospitals in the city centre.

Meanwhile, a suspect device was found in the area and the Army have been called in by the Gardaí.
