Voting starts in General Election
Voting is just getting underway at more than 6,000 locations, mainly primary schools, in 43 constituencies across the country in the General Election.
Polling stations will remain open until 10pm tonight and votes will be counted tomorrow.
In total more than 3.2 million people are entitled to vote and nearly 50,000 of those alone went onto the supplementary register in recent weeks.
You do not need a polling card to vote as most form of official photographic ID is acceptable at polling stations.
At 10pm the ballot boxes will be sealed, taken to count centres and secured overnight, until counting of votes to elect the 31st Dáil takes place tomorrow morning.
