Man killed in Mayo road accident

A man has been killed in a road accident in Co Mayo.

The 23-year-old was the driver of a car which went into a ditch, after it and another car were in collision near the village of Bohola at around midnight last night.

He was brought to Mayo General Hospital, where he died early this morning.

A section of the road between Swinford and Ballyvary will remain closed for several hours and diversions are in place.
