Cork lifeboat crew recover body from sea

A lifeboat crew recovered the body of a missing fisherman from the sea this afternoon.

Crosshaven RNLI Lifeboat recovered the body of Jerry Hegarty from the sea at Ringabella Bay after information was received from a person on shore.

The fisherman was lost when their boat sank almost four weeks ago. The immediate family of Mr Hegarty have been informed

All the personnel involved in the search and recovery extended their sympathies to the family of the deceased.
