Kenny wants Ireland to be best small country for business by 2016
The second leaders debate of the election campaign is underway.
The five party leaders are going head to head in front of a live studio audience on RTE's The Frontline.
Answering a question from an audience member on emigration, the Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny said he wanted to make Ireland the best small country to live and do business in by 2016.
Fianna Fail's Micheal Martin said he wanted to create jobs in other industries like the pharmaceutical sector.
And Labour leader Eamon Gilmore said he never thought Ireland would return to losing its young people to emigration again.
The next issue on the agenda was the banks and whether the next government will allow banks to continue to put pressure on struggling households to meet their mortgage repayments.
The Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny was asked if he would put a further €10bn into banks so they can continue to lend if his party takes power.
More to follow.
