Gardaí investigate as man left critical in Dublin hospital

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a serious assault which took place last night, leaving one man in a critical condition in hospital.

It is understood a row broke out between two men, one in his late 20s, the other in his early 30s, on Lower Abbey Street, at around 10.30pm.

The man in his late 20’s was removed to the Mater Hospital and is currently in a critical condition.
