FG's McTiernan: Kenny should not have accepted Brown apology on suicide remarks
North Leitrim Fine Gael Councillor John McTiernan has said Enda Kenny should not have accepted Vincent Brown's apology regarding remarks he made about suicide.
Councillor McTiernan made a speech on the issue of suicide at a public meeting in Carrick-on-Shannon on Tuesday, which Enda Kenny attended.
The Fine Gael Councillor lost his son Gary to suicide seven years ago. He said he was furious at Vincent Brown's comments, and said they were "vicious, arrogant suggestions".
Councillor McTiernan said he was thrilled with Enda Kenny on a personal level that he took a stand and refused to take part in the political debate on his show:
