FF launch agri-food plan to create thousands of jobs

Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin launched his party's plan to promote jobs in the agri-food sector.

Mr Martin said the budget plans secure investments which are essential for both farmers and the businesses which process their products.

Fianna Fáil said their plan would create thousands of jobs.

Mr Martin also said his party is making "steady progress" in the General Election campaign.

His election as leader has failed to give the party any significant boost - only increasing by 1% to 17% in the latest RedC opinion poll.

Mr Martin said there is a long way to go until polling day and that his party remains very focused.
