The Editor of the Irish Mail on Sunday has defended his decision to put today's edition of the paper into a mocked up version of the Sunday Tribune, saying he did it to encourage people to buy Irish.

The Sunday Tribune went into receivership last Tuesday and it is feared over 40 jobs could go at the company if an investor is not found within the next month.

However, Editor of the Sunday Tribune, Noirín Hegarty said she is "appalled and shocked" at the Irish Mail on Sunday's attempt to make some of its newspapers look like a copy of the Sunday Tribune.
