FG commits to 12.5% corporation tax rate

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has said he has given Intel bosses a guarantee that our low 12.5% corporation tax rate will remain in place.

Mr Kenny, who visited the multinational plant during a canvass in Kildare North this afternoon, has said he wants to make Ireland the number one small country for business and said that if Fine Gael forms the next Government, the 12.5% corporation tax rate will remain.

"Part of (Intel's) trust with Ireland is the corporation tax rate of 12.5% and I reassured them on that…Intel were very happy to hear that,"he said.
