Rape accused alleges escort picked up knife

A Dublin man accused of raping a female escort has told the Central Criminal Court that he hit the alleged victim after she had picked up a knife.

The man, accused of falsely imprisoning, raping and threatening to kill the woman at his apartment, has begun giving evidence in his defence.
