Negotiations continue in Aer Lingus roster row

Unions and management at Aer Lingus will begin a fresh rounds of talks today in an effort to resolve the ongoing dispute over new rosters.

Representatives from both sides will meet at the Labour Relations Commission, in a bid to get 300 cabin crew staff back on the job.

The row has led to the former flag carrier being forced to hire planes and staff from other airlines - a move which the IMPACT trade union estimates has cost around €400,000 per day.

Spokesperson Niall Shanahan said: "Workers just want to get to work as soon as possible, but today's negotiations must be meaningful."
