Gardaí looking into fatal crash in Kildare

Gardaí at Naas are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Watchhouse Cross on the R411 Naas to Ballymore Eustace Road.

At approximately 3.20pm a male aged in his 40s was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a motor car.

He was taken by ambulance to Naas Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the motor car was uninjured.

The road is closed and forensic collision investigators are at the scene with traffic diversions are in place.
