Former Minister Micheál Martin has emerged as the front runner in the Fianna Fáil leadership race.

Three other contenders - Finance Minister Brian Lenihan, Tourism Minister Mary Hanafin and Social Protection Minister Eamon O'Cuiv - are also bidding to succeed the Taoiseach Brian Cowen.
