Eight people were rescued from a 45-foot motor cruiser that ran a ground off Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning.

Eight people were rescued from a 45-foot motor cruiser that ran a ground off Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning.

The cruiser beached on rocks after midnight off the Mucklagh Beg, north of Tralee Bay.

Crews with the Fenit Lifeboat Station took all those on board ashore. No one was injured in the incident.
