Aer Lingus crew to march on airline's HQ

Aer Lingus cabin crew who have been removed from duties and the payroll are to report for duty en masse this morning.

The workers are also going to march to the airline's headquarters in Dublin Airport where they will present chief executive Christoph Mueller with a letter outlining their concerns.

Aer Lingus has said it intends to operate a full flight schedule today after hiring planes from other carriers, including Ryanair.

Yesterday, around 2,700 passengers faced disruption when 34 flights to the UK and Continental Europe were cancelled.

Last night around 200 cabin crew met their trade union IMPACT in Dublin.

IMPACT communications officer Niall Shanahan said the mode among workers was "businesslike and sombre…People are very keen to get back to work as soon as they possibly can."
