He accused is a 21-year-old Limerick man charged with murdering another Limerick man on his 40th birthday

Noel Crawford was shot dead in the early hours of December 18, 2006 outside his parents’ home in O'Malley Park. Jonathan Fitzgerald of South Claughan Road, Garryowen has pleaded not guilty to his murder.

The trial has heard that the deceased had been standing outside the front door of the house with his brother moments before he was killed. His brother left to answer his phone upstairs and this is when the fatal shot was fired.

The trial will resume tomorrow morning before Mr Justice Barry White and a jury of five women and seven men.
