100 medical staff to be hired in Cork centre

One hundred new medical-servcies jobs are on the way to Cork.

The Cork Medical Centre, which is based at City Gate in Mahon, is planning to open its suite of operating theatres on March 14.

The country's newest private hospital is hoping to hire nurses, radiology, laboratory and pharmacy staff.

Management are holding a walk-in recruitment day this Saturday.

The €90m facility provides 75 single in-patient bedrooms and is covered by Quinn Insurance and Aviva.
