Galway stabbing trial views CCTV footage

The trial of a Polish man accused of fatally stabbing a man after leaving a Galway nightclub is being shown CCTV footage from that night.
Alexsander Nadwodny, formerly of Renmore Park in Galway, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Kieran Cunningham in the early hours of June 3, 2009 at Williamsgate Street in the city.
The prosecution says CCTV footage has been crucial to the Garda investigation.
The jury has heard the 20-year-old shop assistant from Claregalway was stabbed three times after leaving the Karma nightclub from a night out with friends.
So far the jury has been shown CCTV shots of what appears to be a street attack, but there is more footage to come.
It is the State’s case that Kieran Cunningham passed by two people sitting on a kerb and may have said something or made a gesture before a man got up from the kerb, walked across the road and stabbed him to death.
They claim the attacker is Alexsander Nadwodny and that he was in the same nightclub earlier that night.
