Aer Lingus cancels today's New York and Chicago flights
Aer Lingus has cancelled two flights today in an on-going row over new rostering arrangements.
The two cancelled flights are the EI 105 to New York and the EI 125 to Chicago.
Twenty cabin crew at Aer Lingus have been removed from the payroll in the dispute.
It brings to 32 the number of IMPACT members taken off the payroll after 12 were sanctioned last night.
Yesterday, Aer Lingus cancelled an out-going and return flight to Boston.
IMPACT spokesman Niall Shanahan said Aer Lingus is forcing the flight cancellations by asking cabin crew rostered for yesterday's flight to act as cabin managers and that they were prevented from doing so by the union-enforced work-to-rule.
"We understand there were available cabin managers, but the company chose not to use them and instead cancelled the flight," he said.
