New parking spaces for politicians 'to cost €130,000 a year'

The State is to spend thousands of euro to provide for extra parking for politicians, it has been reported.

A number of TDs and Senators have lost their spaces at Leinster House, because of a restoration project on the roof of the National Gallery.

The work is expected to take up to two years.

According to the Sunday Tribune, the bill for accommodating the politicians could be more than €130,000 a year.
