Murder inquiry expected after body found in west Dublin ditch

Gardaí are expected to launch a murder inquiry after the discovery of a body in a ditch in West Dublin yesterday.

The body was found beside GAA playing fields off Bellgree Avenue in Tyrellstown following a planned search.

Gardaí had received reports that a man who had been missing since Thursday of last week might have been killed in a row in a house and his body may have been dumped.

Security Editor with the Irish Independent Tom Brady says gardaí believe the body is that of Adil Essahi, and had already been in contact with his family to alert them that a body had been found, but that they were not yet certain it was their son.
