Youghal murder: Gardaí arrest man
Gardaí investigating the murder of a man in Youghal in Co Cork have arrested a man.
The body of Michael O'Shea was found after firefighters had been called to a fire at his downstairs apartment at North Main Street on Thursday morning.
A post mortem examination revealed he died a violent death.
A man in his late 20s was arrested at a house in Cobh at around 9.30am today.
It is understood he had been living in Youghal for a short time but was originally from Cork City. He is being held at Midleton garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí say they know he attended a meeting in Youghal at 10pm on Wednesday night but were trying to establish whether he was with anyone after that by examining CCTV footage from shops and other businesses.
