Two companies within the Limerick-based construction group Chieftain are to close, owing more than €50m to creditors.

Two companies within the Limerick-based construction group Chieftain are to close, owing more than €50m to creditors.

A liquidator is to be appointed to Chieftain Construction Limited and Chieftain Holdings following a meeting of creditors today.

Creditors from across the country gathered at the Absolute Hotel in Limerick to hear details of the liquidation from the owner of the Chieftain group, Ger O'Rourke.
