50 jobs to go at timber company

Fifty jobs are to go in Co Clare, it was announced today.

Finsa Forrest Products in Scarriff is seeking voluntary redundancies among its staff of 86 in what is seen as a major blow to the east Clare economy.

The chip-board and timber products manufacturing company has downsized significantly in recent years and has now announced a restructuring process due to a decline in demand from its clients in the building trade.
