Adams open to coalition with Labour Party

Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has said his party is open to forming a coalition with Labour if it secures enough votes in the forthcoming General Election.

Mr Adams' comments come after Labour Party leader Eamon Gilmore firmly ruled out forming a Government with Sinn Féin.

Mr Adams said his party "wants to be in government" and was capable of compromising with other parties.

Meanwhile Labour party leader Eamon Gilmore will today launch a document proposing how to tackle areas such as public service reform and constitutional change.
