Airports re-open for stranded passengers
Dublin Airport is fully operational today as are other airports across the country.
Hundreds of people were stranded in Dublin for Christmas day because the airlines were unable to accommodate passengers from flights which had been cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Dublin Airport Authority says efforts are being made to accommodate these people in the coming days.
Among those who flew out this morning were the 300 passengers left sitting on a US Airways plane at Dublin airport for hours on Christmas Eve before the flight was eventually cancelled.
