Some bus services curtailed

Most Bus Éireann services around the country are operating as per normal this morning with some delays and diversions in affected areas.

The main inter-city services from Dublin are operating. Route 7: Dublin/Clonmel will not operate via Athy or Castlecomer. Route 33 Dublin-Derry – 1000 departure from Dublin cancelled, but earlier and later departures from Dublin should operate.

As announced yesterday, Bus Éireann is to operate a limited inter-city service to and from Dublin Airport and Dublin (Busaras) on Christmas Day 2010 to main destinations around the island to facilitate people who may be arriving into Dublin city centre or Dublin Airport on late Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Services will operate to and from Limerick, Belfast, Cork, Galway, Rosslare Harbour, Ballina, Sligo, Waterford, Letterkenny, Donegal, Clonmel, and Derry, subject to road and weather conditions.

All services will operate via the main towns en-route.

Bus Éireann is to operate a limited service on St Stephens Day. This will include inter-city services to main destinations, main commuter services in the Greater Dublin Area, Cork and Limerick, and Cork city services.

Road passenger services currently affected by weather and road conditions include some services in the east and north east:

Route 111 Cavan/Athboy – Cavan/Granard only. Dublin/Athboy – Operating with delays; (no connection to Cavan or Granard)

Route 161 Dundalk/Carlingford/Newry – Operating, not serving Whitestown.

Route 163 Drogheda/Donore – Cancelled.

Route 166 Dundalk Carrickmacross – Not serving Inniskeen. Cavan service cancelled.

Route 168 Dundalk/Annagassan – Cancelled.

Route 175 Monaghan/Cavan – Cancelled.

Route 182 Drogheda/Ardee – Operating not serving Tullyallen.

Route 187 Oldcastle/Kells – Not serving Moynalty.

Route 189 Drogheda/Clogher – Cancelled.

Route 190 Drogheda/Laytown – Cancelled.

Balbriggan Town Service – Cancelled

Drogheda Northside & Southside Town Services – Operating main Roads only.

Dundalk Town Services – Not serving Marian Park or Coxes.

Route 109: Dublin/Cavan – Operating with delays

Route 109A: Navan/DCU - Operating not serving Ashbourne

Route 118 Dublin/Mullingar via Summerhill Operating Route 120: Dublin/Edenderry – Operating with delays not serving Robertstown

Route 126: Dublin/Kildare – Operating; not serving Turf bog lane Suncroft

Route 133: Dublin/Wicklow – Operating with delays; 8am and 1pm Ex Arklow –Wicklow; 10.30am

Wicklow –Arklow all cancelled. Services not serving Leg of Mutton will operate via Main Street.
