Girl dies following Cork snow accident

A 13-year-girl has died after she sustained head injuries attempting to snowboard down a hill in Cork today.

She was rushed to Cork University Hospital immediately after the fall near Frankfield Golf Club in Douglas this afternoon.

Two other children were also involved but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A full investigation has been launched.
