Court to rule on Bailey extradition in January

A High Court judge has reserved judgement on whether to extradite Ian Bailey to France, where he is wanted in connection with the killing of a French film-maker here 14 years ago.

Gardaí arrested the Cork-based Briton in 1997 on suspicion of murdering Sophie Toscan du Plantier, whose body was discovered near her holiday home in Schull in West Cork on December 23, 1996.
