Cowen: Government must consider abortion ruling

Taoiseach Brian Cowen said today that the Government will have to carefully consider today's European Court of Human Rights judgement in favour of a woman who had to travel to the UK for a pregnancy termination.

The 17-judge court ruled that the woman's human rights were violated by Ireland's ban on abortion.
