Rape accused claims he 'blacked out'

A Kildare man accused of raping his teenage partner in their apartment last year told gardaí in interview that he blacks out during “fits of rage”.

The man (aged 20) told gardaí after his arrest that he was prone to these fits, adding: “When I see red, I black out. I can’t remember.”
