Dublin Airport fully operational

Dublin Airport Authority says the airport is fully operational this morning, despite another night of freezing conditions.

At Cork Airport, temperatures reached as low as minus five degrees overnight, and snow and ice clearing teams worked through the night to keep the runway, taxiway and apron area open for flight operations.

Officials at Cork, Dublin and Shannon airports are still advising intending passengers to contact their airline before leaving home.

Irish Rail says they have a full network operating today, with only minor delays.

Bus Éireann says they hoave had to cancel some services in the north and east of the country this morning, after the weather forced some restrictions to be put in place last night.
