Gardaí probe Mullingar assault

Gardaíare investigating a serious assault in Mullingar town.

A man in his late teens was set upon by a group of four or five males at around 6.45pm yesterday evening, while walking on the street in the Ginnel Terrace area.

The young man was taken to Beaumont hospital in Dublin to be treated for head injuries.

No arrests have yet been made.
