O'Keeffe: Plan will restore confidence and create jobs
Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keeffe said the Government’s four-year plan will restore confidence, create jobs and drive economic recovery.
Minister O’Keeffe said the plan sets out specific actions to spur further improvements in competitiveness across all sectors of the economy including measures to cut costs in energy, waste and transport, broadband infrastructure, professional fees, property and labour.
The plan commits to maintaining the 12.5% corporation tax rate.
"We are providing the necessary certainty and confidence for the international markets and for Irish citizens that we can restore order to the public finances, reach our budget deficit target of 3% of Gross Domestic Product by 2014 and stimulate economic recovery by investing in enterprise and jobs," Minister O’Keeffe said.
