Warrant for Ukranian accused of refusing breath sample
A judge has ordered the arrest of a Ukrainian national accused of refusing to give gardaí a breath sample following his arrest on suspicion of drink driving.
Yuriy Vereschynski (aged 32), with an address at Bloomfield Park, Bloomfield Avenue, in Dublin 4, has been charged with refusing to give a breath sample, at Store Street Garda station, in Dublin, on October 31 last.
He was due to appear at Dublin District Court today.
Judge David McHugh was told by the court sergeant that evidence of the accused's arrest was submitted by means of a certificate.
Judge McHugh heard the charge is a “summary offence” which means it is to stay in the jurisdiction of the District Court.
The Gda-Sgt told Judge McHugh that the accused had been given “station bail.”
“He does not appear to be in court,” he then added.
