Gardaí appeal for witnesses to fatal crash

Gardaí have launched an appeal for witnesses to a fatal crash between a van and a bus in Co Galway on Sunday night.

Two men, one in his 30s, the other in his 60s, were killed when a bus carrying 27 students, en route from Mayo to Limerick, and a van were in collision near Glennafoisha on the N17.

The men who died were both driving the vehicles, while 18 of the students were taken to Galway University Hospital. None were seriously hurt.

Gardaí in Tuam are interested in speaking to any drivers who may have been in the area between 7pm and 8pm.
