Cowen: We must tackle spending deficit

Taoiseach Brian Cowen said today what the gap between what the country is spending and what is coming in has to be tackled.

Speaking in Dublin today, Cowen also denied that the Government will delay its announcement of the four-year austerity plan until after the Donegal South West by-election.
