ICTU to campaign against Govt cuts

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) has said it will embark on a campaign of action to oppose the Government's austerity measures.

ICTU said the plan to reduce the budget deficit to 3% by 2014 would be totally counter-productive and could plunge the country into a prolonged depression.
