Clare gardaí in €40,000 drugs haul

Gardaí in Co Clare have today seized drugs with an estimated street value of €40,000.

One kilogram of cannabis resin and 185 grams of heroin were recovered during a search of open ground beside the John Paul Estate in Kilrush.

Drug paraphernalia including weighing scales were also found during the intelligence-led operation this morning.

No arrests have been made, but investigations are continuing.
