Appeal for witnesses following Carlow crash
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a crash in Co Carlow which claimed the life of a man in his 60s this morning.
Investigations are continuing after a woman and a passenger in a second car were taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny after the accident on the N9 at Killinane, Leighlinbridge.
"Gardai would particularly like to talk to a man in a dark tracksuit, who was walking or jogging in the area around the time of the crash," a garda statement said.
"The man was on the left hand side of the road and walking or running in the direction of Bagnalstown from the Leighlinbridge direction."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Carlow Garda station on 059 9136620 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
It comes as Gardaí urge motorists who are feeling tired to pull over this bank holiday weekend.
They say anyone who feels tired behind the wheel should stop and take a rest.
