Oireachtas Committee to discuss Irish links with US

Ways to strengthen Ireland's relationship with the US will be discussed by an Oireachtas Committee this afternoon.

New York City's Council Speaker, Christine C Quinn, will address the Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement.

Ms Quinn is a former Irish-American of the year.

The Irish Echo newspaper has also described her as a strong advocate for a truth commission in the Northern Ireland
