No agreement at consensus talks

Talks between the Taoiseach and the main opposition leaders have ended at Government Buildings without reaching a consensus on Budget cuts.

Discussions between Brian Cowen and the leaders of Fine Gael and Labour lasted more than two hours, but no further talks are planned.
