Job fears at Shannon Aerospace

One of the mid-west's largest employers is expected to confirm a cut in its workforce.

There are fears that aircraft maintenance firm Shannon Aerospace will confirm as many as 100 job losses when management meets staff tomorrow morning.

Sources have said however that reports of 184 job losses are over exaggerated.

Shannon Aerospace was founded in 1989 and is part of the Lufthansa Technik Group.

The company employs over 700 staff including trainees.
